Phyllis M. Chestang has a business (non-CPA firm), financial advisory and consulting firm, founded in 1982 in Los Angeles. The firm has worked on a variety of projects for clients such as the US Small Business Administration and several Big 4 accounting firms, and as a result of these engagements has extensive contacts in the financial services and banking industries. The firm is led by Ms. Phyllis Chestang, who holds a BA degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and an MBA from George Washington University, in International Business and Finance. Ms. Chestang has been certified by Los Angeles County as an Auditor, is an IRS certified tax preparer and active in the California Society of CPA’s. In addition, Ms. Chestang has completed a second year of law school and joined the California Bar Association. Noteworthy projects completed include the following: (a) Financial advisory services related to disaster assistance for the US Small Business Administration (SBA), (b) Research and investment analysis for real estate investors and other private clients, (c) Acquisition analysis and financial modeling for corporate clients, (d) Educational workshops for the largest, for-profit university in the United States, (e) Analysis of an educational foundation and other business issues including the financial services sector for Big 4 clients, (f) Financial reviews for the California cities including Agoura Hills, Pasadena, Los Angeles, Burbank, and others, (g) Cost inspection and evaluation services for the US Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) as part of the Hurricane Katrina recovery effort, (h) Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance review for a major Southern California Water & Electric Utility in San Dimas, CA. With respect to client project requirements, Ms. Chestang has extensive experience with the SBA and other public & private clients which has provided her with deep exposure and a broad perspective on a diverse range of clients and economic regions. Her understanding of management practices and investments (risk assessments) as they relate to varied managers has been further enhanced by her disparate projects for both private and public sector clients. Her industry experience includes aerospace, hi-tech, commercial airlines, telecommunications, and utilities. She has solid skills in analytical, mathmatical modeling techniques and a broad range of professional contacts. Additional recent project experience includes voter election (E-Voting) systems support, PriceWaterHouseCoopers, “Rate Case” Project, and civil litigation & criminal law firm support.
